O'Keefe Cleared to Play

Just as I expected in my match report, the AFL's Match Review Panel cleared Ryan O'Keefe of a striking charge against Jess Sinclair. So no doubt the club is breathing a sigh of relief. The panel ruled that O'Keefe

Pushed his arm back to break contact with Sinclair after marking the ball, ruling the contact only minimal and to Sinclair's chest.

No doubt he was lucky that the charge didn't cop any points and was thrown out, but still it show the stupid nature of the "new" reporting system when the emergancy umpire can report a player, yet the controling umpire who was only a few metres away at the time saw nothing wrong with it.

Ah well, I've come to expect that out of Troy Pannell who has taken a clear dislike to us of late.
