Apology to Swans, Saints - Swans Official Site
The Institute of Chartered Accountants (ICAA) has issued a public apology to AFL clubs St Kilda and Sydney for stating incorrectly in their 2005 report into the financial state of the league's 16 clubs that the financial future of both clubs was uncertain. The ICAA apologised to the Saints and the Swans on their official website www.icaa.org.au for stating that both clubs received qualified audit opinions "because there was significant uncertainty that each club would be able to continue as a going concern."
That's a huge mistake to make and one has to wonder how that news went down at Swans headquarters yesterday. I know I wouldn't be happy. But then again when you consider the role the ICAA had in the downfall of "One Tel" and "HIH", is this really that surprising????
Still at least its only a mistake and not factual, otherwise one would have to wonder about how this club is run.
