West Coast Match Review

The good news, we improved by a goal over last week. The bad news we got even worse. Yep the joy of being a Swans fan was put on show this week thanks to the crap served up to us by Roos and co.

Surprised? No. Upset? You better believe it.

I think Saturday Night was the first time I left the room with over 11 minutes to play in the match. I missed the back to back 50m penalties given away from Hall and I missed the rest of the poorest effort I've seen the Swans put in for many a year.

The game started well enough in the wet conditions with the Swans taking a small lead into quarter time, and it seemed the Swans had turned up to play and had the whether helping us like many prayed for. However whatever Roos said at quarter time must of gone over the heads of the players and we proceeded to throw away any hope we had in the match. 6 quick goals had the Eagles out of reach and despite a late 3 goal charge just before half time and the Eagle bench wiped out thanks to injury.

After half time is too hard to talk about, we just GAVE up. No excuses, just no committment to the 22 men in Red and White. Alas I think we can finally say 2005 isn't going to be our year (shock horror) and move on to planning for next year. Hopefully that means the rookies are given their long awaited chances and the future becomes brighter once again.
