News Roundup - Tue 19/4
Well today brings us some good news.
First off, we have the news that captain Stuart Maxfield has taken the one-match suspension offered to him for engaging in rough conduct. Article on his suspension Maxfield ban adds insult to injuries doesn't tell us much, but at least gives us a reason to drop Maxfield and try soemthing news this week.
Further on this article, if you read down you'll notice the best news of all - Goodes is going back in the ruck.
The coach indicated Goodes would be thrown back into the ruck, where he won the Brownlow in 2003, as the back-up for Jolly.
For more on Goodes in the ruck go to the article on the Swans official site Back to the ruck?
Well that's certainly good news to start my day. Injury report to follow later.

I find the lack of respect shown towards Maxfield, especially at RWO, quite sad. Sure, he's out of form and probably doesn't deserve to be in the 22, but given the way he has played for the club in the last 10 years and captained in the last two, you'd think our fans would have cut him some slack. You could almost hear the raucous cheering when he was rubbed out for one match. Disgraceful.

You know I kind of agree. He does deserve better, but I guess Swans fans think his time has come. I want him out of the side yes, but on his terms so really if selected to play against West Coast I don't have an issue with that. Still shouldn't let a little bit of fun get in the way of using both sites.
